Herning, Denmark 19–20 August 2026 Outdoor Stand U-2400
VIKING Lighting will participate in DALO Industry Days 2026, Scandinavia’s largest defense industry exhibition.
This year, VIKING Lighting and Prime Design will exhibit together at Outdoor Stand U-2400, presenting complementary lighting solutions developed for defense, civil preparedness, emergency response and demanding field operations.
DALO Industry Days brings together decision-makers, Danish FMI case officers, operational units, international delegations and companies with a shared focus on future defense solutions.
At our stand, visitors will have the opportunity to see VIKING Lighting solutions for tents, shelters, field hospitals, workshops and temporary infrastructure, together with Prime Design’s Baselight mobile lighting systems, designed for rapid deployment and powerful illumination of large areas.
The defense forces of several countries, including NATO countries, have used VIKING Lighting. Our lighting suits for both indoor and outdoor applications. We have designed it for demanding operational environments.
The aluminum housing combined with side covers manufactured from shock-absorbing SBS material makes the lighting fixture robust and resistant to demanding handling and field conditions.
VIKING Lighting is available in IP54 and IP65-compliant versions, providing protection suitable for environments exposed to moisture, splash, mud, and demanding operating conditions.
Since the original VIKING Lighting design originates from Sweden, reliable operation across a wide temperature range has always been important. Our LED lighting operates in ambient temperatures from -30°C to +50°C.
VIKING Lighting is designed as durable and long-lasting equipment. The lighting system can be connected to a standard power source or alternative power generators. We also offer low-voltage and battery-powered lighting solutions for applications where access to conventional power sources is limited.
These features make VIKING Lighting particularly suitable for military tents, shelters, field hospitals, workshops, and other temporary facilities.
The lamps can also be easily connected in series through an additional socket, allowing several lighting units to form one practical lighting system.
Please explore our lighting products on the VIKING Lighting website.
At DALO Industry Days, we will exhibit together with Prime Design, combining two complementary approaches to lighting for defense and field operations.
VIKING Lighting provides robust lighting solutions for tents, shelters, field hospitals, workshops and temporary infrastructure.
Prime Design’s Baselight systems provide mobile, high-output area lighting. Rapid deployment is its key characteristic.
Together, the two product ranges provide lighting solutions for a wide variety of temporary and mobile defense applications.

MSB event
On November 11, 2025, MSB will host its annual Expo for suppliers and users of mission-critical communications services, serving Swedish civil protection and emergency response collaborators.
MSB – Mission Critical Communications Expo is a key national meeting point where authorized visitors and exhibitors gather to strengthen Sweden’s capacity to collaborate, communicate, and manage mission-critical operations.
MSB’s historical connection with VIKING Lighting dates back to the early 1980s. The first major deployment of our portable lighting system occurred during Sweden’s international rescue mission to Armenia following the devastating earthquake in 1988.
Although MSB (Myndigheten för samhällsskydd och beredskap) did not yet exist at that time, its predecessor — the Swedish Rescue Services Agency (SRSA) — carried out Sweden’s first international rescue operation after the disaster.

Swedish involvement: The SRSA, now part of MSB, deployed its first international rescue team to Armenia in December 1988.
Mission scale: A team of 50 Swedish rescuers and 16 rescue dogs, together with essential equipment, was transported by two Hercules aircraft.
Rescue operations: The team began operations on December 11, focusing on a collapsed textile factory.
International support: This deployment was part of a major international relief effort following an earthquake that resulted in massive human and infrastructural losses.
Legacy: The Armenia mission remains a significant milestone in the history of Swedish international rescue operations.

For over four decades, VIKING Lighting has proven its durability and reliability in demanding environments worldwide. Its dust-proof construction, robust design, and powerful light output make it a trusted solution for:
disaster response environments,
field operations,
temporary command posts,
rescue missions,
humanitarian deployments.
Our lighting continues to serve agencies and responders who require equipment that performs flawlessly under extreme conditions.
At the 2025 Mission Critical Communications Expo, VIKING Lighting will present an innovative portable solution that integrates GSM communication support and high-performance lighting in a single unit.
Key features include:
rapid deployment by a single operator,
integrated mast and lighting system,
lightweight and transport-ready design,
compatibility with field operations and emergency scenarios.
This solution is designed to enhance situational awareness, field coordination, and operational efficiency — especially in remote or compromised communication environments.
The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) is responsible for supporting society’s preparedness for major accidents, crises and the consequences of war. The agency’s work is led by a Director General appointed by the Swedish Government.
MSB has approximately 1,300 employees located in Karlstad, Kristinehamn, Stockholm, Sandö, Revinge, and Rosersberg.
MSB is responsible for civil protection, public safety, emergency management, and civil defense, unless another authority has been designated to assume these responsibilities. This includes activities carried out before, during, and after emergencies or crises.
MSB has two key roles in civil defence:
Leading, prioritizing, and coordinating authority,
Responsibility for the Civil Protection Sector.
The agency continually seeks committed and skilled experts for humanitarian, resilience, and peace support operations.

VIKING lamps are designed for crisis environments — providing glare-free, reliable light even in harsh conditions.
They are compact, impact-resistant, and easy to transport in rescue vehicles.
The most popular model, VIKING L230, offers a flexible configuration and simple installation in field operations.
Due to its high performance, the VIKING L230 LED is recommended for use in large rooms such as temporary camps, field hospitals, warehouses, storage facilities, and shelters.
This lighting fixture is equipped with an oil-resistant 8-meter cable, designed to perform reliably in harsh industrial or field conditions, including those with oily, muddy, or wet surfaces.
The L230 can be easily connected in series via an additional socket. The total number of lamps in a chain depends on the cable type; for example, using a 3G1.5 cable, up to 25 lamps can be linked together in a single line.
As a manufacturer, VIKING LIGHTING offers full customization, including cable length, material (PVC or screened), and plug types for various national standards.
The L230 LED, compatible with 220–240V AC, is ideal for temporary storage areas that require bright, natural white light. Learn more about the L230 and other versions: VIKING L110/220–230VAC

VIKING Lighting is a popular choice among the defense forces and civil defense in Sweden, as well as in other Nordic countries and other areas where work requires bright, white light and an extreme work environment. We comply with AQAP 2110:2016, a NATO certification standard for supplying the North Atlantic Alliance.
The designer suggested that the VIKING Lighting be light but durable, so the lighting case is made of aluminum.
Additionally, VIKING Lighting has low heat emission even after prolonged operation.
VIKING Lighting operates efficiently in ambient temperatures ranging from -30 °C to 40 °C, which is why it is popular in the Nordic region.
Furthermore, VIKING Lighting can be used when the outdoor temperature reaches as high as +50°C.
Due to this feature, we have customers not only from Europe but also from Africa and the Middle East, who are satisfied with our products.
Our experience is described on the page: https://vikinglighting.com/en/about-us-story-of-viking-lighting/
