Viking Lighting with a motion sensor
VIKING LIGHTING WITH A MOTION SENSOR
L230 LED, IP65 rating
Key features:
– microwave motion sensor
– detection range 20 m
– energy saving
– IP65 rating
What is a microwave motion sensor, and how does it work?
Our lamp has a sensor based on microwave technology. This technology is technically superior compared to infrared (PIR) based technology. More about sensors in the link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_detector.
The microwave sensor is also called a radar motion sensor. Such a sensor detects moving objects in its zone. It works by sending microwaves at a specific frequency and then recording the wave reflections that return to the device.
Advantages of VIKING Lighting with motion sensor
Our lighting with motion and presence sensors reacts to moving objects like animals, people, remotely controlled ground vehicles, and cars.
Firstly, the user can set the twilight level at which the sensor will be active.
Secondly, the user can define how long the lighting is turned on. Such functionalities avoid the annoying, constant turning on and off of the light. An additional special feature of the microwave presence sensor is the ability to detect movement behind obstacles.
Such obstacles may include plasterboard, glass, etc.) and greater sensitivity than infrared (PIR) motion sensors.
The motion sensor we use in VIKING Lighting has additional functions besides its presence function.
Namely, these are a twilight sensor and a light-switching timer.
Energy saving:
You save energy thanks to VIKING Lighting with a motion and presence sensor.
By setting the sensor, we can optimally use the lighting operating time by varying the device switching on and, therefore, the lamp’s current consumption.
Moreover, the lighting turns on automatically when a person appears or enters the building, tent, or area, which the sensor detects in the dark. This functionality also reduces energy consumption.
Application of VIKING lighting with motion and presence sensor
VIKING lighting with motion and presence sensors is necessary in warehouse halls, hangars, renovation halls, or tents. In addition, it is used in all facilities we want to protect against unwanted intrusions of people or machines, e.g., drones, into the guarded area. VIKING lighting with a motion and presence sensor undoubtedly significantly supports effective protection against burglary, theft, etc.
Additional features
Like most VIKING lighting, the motion and presence sensor lighting can be used to spotlight or connect in series. More about the VIKING lighting connection is on page XXX.
Resistance to external conditions
The sensor can also be used outdoors (outside the building) because it is characterized by increased tightness (IP65) and resistance to extreme temperatures. We have tested VIKING Lighting for resistance to high and low temperatures. With an LED light source, VIKING Lighting operates from minus 30°C to plus 50°C.
The lighting can be used outdoors because this product is resistant to moisture and splashes, e.g., mud, impacts, damage, and vibrations.
The light but durable aluminum housing with side covers made of shock-absorbing SBS plastic makes VIKING Lighting durable.
The 10-meter oil-resistant cable makes VIKING Lighting practical.
